Licorice Root Powder (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) — wild-harvested Chinese licorice root powder, sold by weight and packed by hand at GARDENS OF THE ANCIENTS® in Austin, Texas. Also known as Gan Cao 甘草 and Chinese Licorice.
A classic brightening ingredient in homemade face masks and skin-care preparations.
Harvested from its native soils for geo-authenticity and never treated with sulfur dioxide fumigation, so its color and aroma stay close to the natural root. Inspected and tested to Chinese Pharmacopoeia standards, with additional testing for pesticide residues, microbiological content, and heavy metals, and processed in a GMP certified facility.
Caution: Not for use during pregnancy or while nursing. Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use if you have high blood pressure or a heart, kidney, or liver condition, or are taking any medications.
